2016 Nissan Altima SR Features and Engine Options

What you want isn’t always what you need, but sometimes you can get both. You want a sporty car, one with bad attitude but is obedient in the way that it handles, but what you need is a practical and economical family sedan. Meet the newest Nissan Altima trim member—the SR.
Redesigned three years ago, the 2016 Altima underwent a mid-cycle refresh that brought with it a brand new trim level. Depending on the trim level, it can not only change the look of the vehicle but the way it performs, and if it’s a sport sedan you’re in the market for, we’d like to talk more about the 2016 Nissan Altima SR features and engine options.
2016 Nissan Altima SR Engine Options
The SR is available with two engine options; either the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine or the 3.5L V6. Depending on your price range and how much power you’re looking for, the larger engine is going to be the more expensive option but it does provide a much greater boost in power. The engine specs as well as the standard features of the SR trim level are listed below:

2016 Nissan Altima SR Review
The overall goal for introducing the SR trim was to give drivers a sportier sedan with a more upscale look and feel inside and out. The retuned sports suspension enables the Altima to provide a firmer and tighter ride; plus, the addition of the paddle shifters puts the driver in more control over the Altima’s handling without the need to learn how to drive stick.
Drivers who enjoy being in more control and connected to their vehicle, rather than just bumbling along from point A to point B will be more engaged and in control of a playful amount of power without burning through gallons of fuel and having to sacrifice space, safety, and a comfortable daily drive
