When adventure calls, or perhaps it was the principal at your child’s school telling you to come in, you’ll always want to be as prepared as possible. Whether it’s a solo mission, or a trip for the whole family, the Nissan Pathfinder has been flexible enough to fit families of all different sizes since it first debuted in 1987.
Here we are in 2017 with a brand new generation of Pathfinder that lie ahead of us; and even better yet, the wait won’t be too long seeing as the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder release date is scheduled for this coming fall.
Drivers can expect the 2017 Pathfinder to arrive to dealership showrooms around September….just in time for you to cart around a full car-load of trick-or-treaters or for those of you in wintery climates to brave the ice and snow.
2017 Nissan Pathfinder Exterior Changes
One of the most noticeable changes implemented, which Nissan fans certainly could have guessed, was the V-motion grille that is found on the Altima, Maxima, Murano, and other recently revisited models.
This isn’t all for cosmetics though, the Pathfinder also shows off a more aggressive hood to fit the new grille, integrated turn signals on the outsides of the rearview mirrors, and a new set of taillights to fit the more athletic bumper design.

The Nissan Pathfinder is debuting a brand new Direct Injection Gasoline engine which will also be shared by the brand new Armada that was entirely redesigned from the ground up. Holding down the title of best-in-class for towing, the Nissan Pathfinder powers up for the new generation, increasing its capability by 1,000 lbs.

The reason behind the tow increase is found in research conducted based on consumers’ responses. Rather than being forced to choose a pickup truck, drivers wanted or needed a crossover SUV that had truck-like capability.
The class-exclusive All-Mode 4x4i Dial will carry over into the next generation. With the use of a rotary knob, the driver is able to switch between 2WD, 4WD, and auto modes. Any weather that is headed your way, the Pathfinder will find a path through it.
As the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder makes its way here to Glendale Nissan, we would like to welcome you to schedule a test drive as soon as it arrives.
We would love to show you the all new convenience features and technology such as the 8.0-inch touch-screen monitor, NissanConnect SM system with voice recognition audio, and advanced safety technology added to the crossover.
