2017 Nissan Sentra Power and Efficiency
Until the introduction of the SR Turbo, there has only been one engine available to the Sentra which is a 130-horsepower 1.8L 4-cylinder.
The base S model comes with a 6-speed manual transmission while all other trims bump up to Nissan’s continuously variable transmission.

This is more than a reasonable amount of power for a compact car to pack, especially one starting well below $20,000 and that earns 29 city/ 37 hwy mpg. As for the Nissan Sentra SR Turbo, which is a bit of a special case; it bumps up to a 1.6L turbocharged engine.
