Let’s face the facts, vehicles aren’t built to last an entire lifetime. The previous milestone for a used vehicle was 100,000 miles, but now used vehicles that are well taken care of able to make it well beyond this marker; in fact, it’s not entirely uncommon to see some of the “newer” old cars to make it to 200,000 miles.
Whether you have an older vehicle or are considering the purchase of a used one that is up there in years or miles, keep in mind 5 common problems in older vehicles. You don’t remember the ride being this bumpy in your vehicle and potholes didn’t feel like driving over craters. Also, have you noticed that your vehicle looks a little droopy…as if it’s uneven and sagging down on one side?
What’s wrong: If this describes your ride, there is a good chance that your shocks and struts need replacing to restore that smooth, even drive you had before.
