2016 Nissan Murano Hybrid has arrived to the US

2016 Nissan Murano Hybrid Confirmed and Available
Nissan was a little sneaky about this one seeing as there hasn’t been a whole lot of hoopla about the Murano Hybrid. Everything was rumors or based on the hybrid version that already is available in China.
Well, the cat’s outta the bag and the Murano Hybrid is here! Already ranked as one of the safest and advanced midsize crossovers on the market, we’re thrilled to announce that the 2016 Nissan Murano Hybrid is confirmed and available in the United States.
2016 Nissan Murano Hybrid Performance
In total there are six versions of the Nissan Murano available for 2016, two of which are hybrid models: SL Hybrid and the Platinum Hybrid. While the standard engine across the Murano lineup is a 3.5L DOHC 24-valve V6 engine, the Murano Hybrid swaps it out for a 2.5L 4-cylinder SuperCharged engine that is paired with an electric motor.
It is the Intelligent Dual Clutch System and lithium-ion battery that enable the Murano Hybrids to better conserve fuel. Capable of producing 249 horsepower, the Hybrids don’t dip much below the standard Murano which pumps out 260 HP.
Further information by Nissan should be released in the near future, especially now that the Murano Hybrid has been confirmed. The SL is a higher level trim, second from the top, while the Platinum is the top-of-the-line. Upgraded features that become standard on these higher level versions can be found below:
