The Rogue Sport is only entering into its second model year and now it has been announced that the Nissan Kicks will also be joining us for 2018. The Juke is on the way out, which means we now will have two CUVs that have similar styling character. How do you tell them apart? Today we’re looking at the key differences between the 2018 Nissan Kicks vs 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport.
Is it worth waiting for the 2018 Nissan Kicks?
For a long time, we saw SUVs getting bigger and bigger, but the market is taking an unexpected turn. Single drivers have shown just as much interest in crossovers as families, but prefer to have something smaller that is better suited for urban driving. For this reason, we’re now seeing things scaled back a bit.
Naturally, one of the key differences between the Kicks and Rogue Sport is going to be size. We don’t know the exact dimension of the Kicks at this time, but we do know that it will be smaller than the Rogue Sport, which offers 96 cubic feet of passenger volume and 22.9 cubic feet of cargo volume in the base trim.
The Kicks will have a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that offers 125 horsepower and 115 pound-feet of torque. The 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport has a 141 horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, so we predict that it will remain peppier.

There’s no word on fuel economy at this time, but given that the 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport earns 25 city and 32 highway mpg despite being bulkier and having a more potent engine, we imagine the Kicks will be an even more efficient choice.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Kicks doesn’t have an official MSRP at this time, but it was revealed that the goal is to start at lower than $19,000, while the Rogue Sport has a starting MSRP of $21,640. Once we know more about the Nissan Kicks, we’ll be updating here at the Glendale Nissan Blog, so stay tuned.
