The redesign isn’t the only exciting thing about the new 2016 Nissan Maxima. This sport sedan also has a variety of technology systems available to aid drivers on the road and provide an extra level of safety. The following 2016 Nissan Maxima driver assistance features are available for select trims levels of the sedan. Check out the list below to see what’s available and what each system does.

- Advanced Drive Assist Display – This display moves a variety of important information to one place right on your dashboard so you can more easily keep an eye on the road.
- Driver Attention Alert – This system monitors steering patterns to keep track of driver alertness and will inform the driver of the issue through a visual and audio cue.
Predictive Forward Collision Warning – This system uses sensors to check for possible risks ahead and if a potential collision is detected the system will alert the driver.- Forward Emergency Braking – This system uses radar technology in a similar way to the Predictive Forward Collision Warning system and will help apply the brakes if need be.
- Blind Spot Warning – This system uses a rearview camera and radar to monitor for objects in the blind spot and will alert the driver if a vehicle is approaching
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert – This system will monitor objects behind when the vehicle is in reverse and will warn the driver of traffic approaching from either direction.
- Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection – This system uses multiple cameras to provide a virtual 360-degree view of the vehicles surroundings.
- Intelligent Cruise Control – This system monitors what is ahead of the vehicle and adjusts the speed as necessary to keep a safe distance when using cruise control.
