Nissan Energy Solar brings solar panels to the home
Wednesday, January 24th, 2018Nissan Solar Energy for the House
You might be surprised to find that solar technology began development as early as the 1860s. That’s not to say that the technology was ready for use, but still. That’s more than a century of development. By now, you’d think every house would have a row of solar panels on the rooftop. It’s 2018, and this still isn’t the case. Perhaps if they were more widely available and affordable, it could happen soon. Which is why we’re excited that Nissan is throwing its technological hat into the ring to create Nissan Energy Solar, which will be a new division of the company that sells solar panels and energy storage packs for the house. Friday, October 13th, 2017Remote-Controlled Nissan GT-R Gran Turismo Sport
When it comes to racing games, Gran Turismo has long been a top seller for its ability to put you in the digital driver’s seat of your favorite sports cars. But what if it wasn’t digital? Nissan recently hooked up a Nissan GT-R to a PS4 controller for a remote experience in honor of the release of Gran Turismo Sport. Of course, they only put the controller in the hands of an experience gamer. After all, the 2017 Nissan GT-R has a starting MSRP of $109,990. Not exactly a model they want to put through the impressive crashes many of us are capable of. Hand-eye coordination takes work. (more…)

Of course not. Nissan just announced its continued partnership with LucasFilms as the brand works on the Star Wars: The Last Jedi marketing campaign. The Nissan Frontier will finally head into a new generation
Monday, September 18th, 2017Third-generation Nissan Frontier announced
It used to be that vehicles would go years and years between new generations and refreshes, simply because it’s an expensive undertaking for an automaker. These days, we expect to see a refresh after two or three years, and a complete redesign after five or six. Which is what makes the Nissan Frontier so odd. The current model is in its second generation, which started in 2005. That’s right, 12 years ago. Other markets, where the model is known as the Navara, saw an update in 2014. Finally, a third-generation Nissan Frontier should be heading to the U.S. (more…)

“German-engineering” is a popular phrase, but for a long time it’s been Japanese engineers that take the reins when it comes to offering all the latest and most impressive new features. The future of mobility seems to hinge on electric vehicle and autonomous driving, and Nissan is already making a go at it by offering not one, but two vehicles for sale with semi-autonomous driving. Automatic braking will be a new standard for Nissan in 2018
Thursday, June 8th, 2017Which 2018 Nissan models will have automatic emergency braking?
Driver distraction remains at an all-time high, and is the primary culprit behind devastating accidents. In a busy world, it’s not as easy as it used to be to stay focused while rolling along at high speeds in a two-ton machine. Which is a scary thought for most of us when we consider what other drivers might be doing behind the wheel. One feature that combats our tendency toward inattentiveness is automatic emergency braking, which provides audible and visual alerts when a frontal collision seems likely. If a driver doesn’t press the brakes, your car will do it for you, preventing a collision or mitigating damage. For 2018, this feature will be standard for many 2018 Nissan models. But which ones? Everyone knows that Nissan specializes in new cars, but as a big company, it’s also important to give back to the community. That’s why we’re happy to talk about Nissan’s involvement with Habitat for Humanity, a well-known charity known for its home-building projects. (more…)
Nissan reveals a new 2017 Nissan GT-R Track Edition at NYIAS
Tuesday, March 28th, 2017How much does the 2017 Nissan GT-R Track Edition cost?
Now, we know what you’ve been thinking. “Gee, I really would like a 2017 Nissan GT-R, but the Premium trim doesn’t have all the track features I want, and the Nismo is far too expensive.” OK, so maybe most people don’t have the luxury of debating between the two trim levels, but it stands to reason that those who can afford the model, or are at least dreaming about it, would still note the price gap as the Premium trim starts off at $109,990 and the Nismo jumps to $174,990. Even if you have the money, that’s a big difference. Now it sounds like Nissan will be adding the 2017 Nissan GT-R Track Edition to the lineup, but how much does it cost? (more…)
