Online research is one way to narrow down what suits you best before even heading to dealerships, and respected automotive journals like Autotrader are just one place to find out which models are top contenders. Who is the new CEO of Nissan in 2017?

In case you weren’t aware, Carlos Ghosn has been the Nissan CEO for the past 16 years. That’s a long time, especially when you consider he has also been heading Renault, and the company recently acquired Mitsubishi Motors. That’s a lot for any one man to take on, which is why Nissan is getting a new CEO for 2017 while Ghosn puts his focus on Renault. So who is the new Nissan CEO? (more…)

Margot Robbie and Blake Shelton work with Nissan

Sometimes it can feel less than cool to express major fandom for celebrities, but we have to admit we get excited when we see famous faces associated with our brands. For 2017 you can expect to see both Margot Robbie, who popularly played Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, and Blake Shelton work to promote the Nissan name. Of course, they are the faces for two entirely different types of vehicles. (more…)

Upcoming Nissan plug-in hybrid technology

Upcoming Nissan plug-in hybrid technology

If you look at the Nissan lineup, you might find it odd that one thing is missing: plug-in hybrids. In fact, even standard hybrids are fairly sparse. The brand’s first option, the Altima Hybrid, has been missing from the lineup for years. Currently, if you’re looking for options, the 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is the only one you’ll readily find, and it’s still a difficult model to come by. The reason for this seems clear enough: efficiency numbers rarely make up for initial cost. Now, it seems, Nissan is working with Mitsubishi in adding plug-in hybrid technology to the lineup. This could be a real game changer. (more…)

2017 Nissan Rogue Sport Size and Power

2017 Nissan Rogue Sport Size and Power

Nissan was one of the first automakers to discover that shoppers, especially here in America, don’t mind driving something a little smaller as long as it’s just as functional. One of the main benefits of a car is its maneuverability, while SUVs are spacious and have a higher ride height. Why can’t you have both? Well, Nissan just revealed its intentions to offer the 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport, a model that slots under the standard Nissan Rogue due its smaller size. Today, we’re looking at power options and its upcoming release. (more…)

Nissan Intelligent Mobility and Seamless Autonomous Mobility

Nissan Intelligent Mobility and Seamless Autonomous Mobility

Most of us here at Glendale Nissan have been driving for more than a decade, if not quite a few. We remember when A/C and cruise control were considered luxuries, so learning about the Nissan plans for Nissan Intelligent Mobility and Seamless Autonomous Mobility are a bit mind-blowing. The Nissan Leaf has been on the market for quite a while, and it seems the goal is to provide a lot more home integration, autonomous features and charging infrastructure built right into our roadways. At least, that’s the future that Nissan imagines. (more…)

Nissan and Microsoft Cortana at CES 2017

Not to shake our fists and sound like we’re about to tell you about walking a mile to school in a foot of snow, but most of us here remember a time when cars didn’t have ABS, let alone driver assistance features. To be clear, we’re not saying this is a good thing. No, we love more technology in our vehicles, especially when it’s easier than ever to be distracted by ringing phones and our busy lifestyles. It seems better to have a system that provides the contact you need, and limits what you don’t. Keep off Candy Crush when you’re behind the wheel, right? Well, the 2017 CES is upon us, which means big news from Nissan, coming in the form of a partnership with Microsoft Cortana. What does this mean for future vehicles? (more…)
