Modern cars have connectivity on the go, but does Nissan offer it?
By Product Expert | Posted in Features & Technology, Nissan Armada on Monday, August 21st, 2017 at 7:30 pmDoes the 2017 Nissan Armada have WiFi?
Nothing seems to drain your phone battery quite so fast as relying exclusively on LTE coverage. These days, many of us use our phones for navigation, music and podcasts. All of which we reasonably enjoy using for road trips or day-to-day commuting. This isn’t even mentioning the fact that so many phone companies have strict data limits. Even the so-called unlimited plans typically drop your speed after so much usage. It’s true the 2017 Nissan Armada comes standard with features like Bluetooth with audio streaming and navigation, both of which will help you conserve some juice on the road, but what about passengers? This is where WiFi comes in.
Nissan 4G WiFi available as an accessory
If you’re dying to have WiFi in your SUV, you’ll be happy to know that Nissan 4G WiFi is available as an accessory for any trim level. It costs $450 to install at dealerships plus monthly or annual subscription fees. For 1GB a month, you can expect to pay $19.95, while 5GB a month costs $59.95.
Nissan also offers a number of apps, including Find My Car, Curfews, Geo Zones, Speed Tracker and more. Many of them work as parental controls to help track how teen drivers treat your vehicle.

All prices are subject to change, but these are the subscription costs currently. The WiFi service allows you to connect up to five devices at one time and the feature works when the vehicle is moving and when it’s parked.
The 2017 Nissan Armada seats eight, so you might find that coverage for five can sometimes be limiting, but we hope the driver will be focused on the road, which leaves just two occupants resorting to other means if you have a full load of people. We hope for your sake you aren’t at max capacity for long trips!
