Throughout the SUV segment, there can be a lot of variation between SUV performance. With models such as the Nissan Armada, drivers can expect unbelievable power and performance, along with convenient space and versatility. But, does the 2019 Nissan Armada come standard with all-wheel drive?
It is quite uncommon for vehicles to come standard with an all-wheel drive system, and the Armada is no exception. While the brand’s four-wheel drive system doesn’t come standard with the big Nissan model, it is available on each of the Armada trim levels: the SV, SL, Platinum and Platinum Reserve.

This 4WD system also allows drivers to alternate between different levels of traction they may need in certain circumstances. For example, the AUTO function allows the Armada to automatically switch between 2WD and 4WD depending on the various conditions. The 4H mode is used primarily when you need better traction for rocky, snowy or muddy roads, while the 4L mode offers the maximum amount of torque and traction necessary for rocky and steep terrain.
While the 2019 Nissan Armada does not come standard with all-wheel drive, you can see just how capable the SUV can be when equipped with its advanced 4WD system.
