1.8-Liter DOHC 16-Valve 4-Cylinder Engine
Coming standard with the 2019 Nissan Sentra S, SV, SR and SL models is a fantastic 1.8-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine. With the base S model and 6-speed manual transmission, the new Nissan Sentra is able to generate 130 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque. However, when these Sentra models come equipped with an Xtronic CVT, these numbers slightly change. In fact, Sentra models with the Xtronic CVT can generate 124 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque.

1.6-Liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) Turbocharged 4-Cylinder Engine
While this engine may not seem the most impressive on paper, drivers can also get their hands on either the impressive Sentra SR Turbo and Sentra NISMO models. These models see a big jump in performance thanks to the 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. With either a 6-speed manual transmission or Xtronic CVT, the SR Turbo and Sentra NISMO allow for 188 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque.
