Fall is here, which means winter is right around the corner. Get caught up on your maintenance so you won’t have any worries once all the leaves have fallen. We have created a list of parts and components on your vehicle that you should look into getting serviced before fall ends.
Wipers
We don’t often think about our windshield wipers until it starts raining or snowing then it’s too late to replace them. You’ll need them more once you have to start defrosting your windshield. A good rule of thumb is replacing them every six months so you can be certain you will have optimal visibility no matter the weather.
Tires
General maintenance on your tires is good to keep them healthy for longer periods of time. As the weather gets cooler, your tires lose about 1 psi every 10 degrees dropped. You’ll want to fill them up so they don’t wear down unevenly. Now would also be a great time to start saving up to switch over your tires to winter tires.
Battery
Now is a good time to check on your battery components. Clean off any dirt or corrosion you may find by disconnecting your battery and cleaning them off with a wire brush. Check to see if everything is secure and has good contact.
Heating
There shouldn’t be too much explanation for this. Get your heating checked out before winter comes. You won’t want to bundle up to drive your car.
