This engine all-new for 2019 and is able to power the new model to 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque, as well as comes paired with an Xtronic transmission that offers an expanded lock-up area to help improve efficiency.

2.0-Liter VC-Turbo Engine in the 2019 Nissan Altima
Replacing the Altima’s previous 3.5-liter V6 engine is the new 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine. This is the world’s first production-ready variable compression turbo inline 4-cylinder engine, meaning it offers similar power and performance while keeping the economy of a typical 4-cylinder engine. In fact, the new 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine offers an impressive 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.
