Sometimes it can feel less than cool to express major fandom for celebrities, but we have to admit we get excited when we see famous faces associated with our brands. For 2017 you can expect to see both Margot Robbie, who popularly played Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, and Blake Shelton work to promote the Nissan name. Of course, they are the faces for two entirely different types of vehicles.
Nissan Sponsors 13 Blake Shelton events and 14 festival tours
Blake Shelton, who you likely know from The Voice, if not his impressive country music career, has started his “Doing it to Country” tour, with Nissan sponsoring the tour to present the 2017 Nissan Titan to country fans.
Not only is Nissan sponsoring the tour, which brings visibility to the Titan model, but the Titan and Titan XD trucks will be specially wrapped and present at each stop.
It goes without saying that pickups are a big segment for the country music world, so it’s exciting for Nissan to show its presence with the Titan.
Margot Robbie drives the Nissan BladeGlider
Is it feasible that the Nissan BladeGlider will hit the streets in a big way? Well, it’s an all-electric sports car, so maybe you won’t see the model in a driveway near you. It is, however, clear that EVs are going to be the top choice for future vehicles, but only if automakers are willing to show what they can do.
To help Nissan, Margot Robbie is starring in advertisements for the BladeGlider, which can reach 62 mph in about five seconds. The point in the concept prototype, at the end of the day, is to show that electric vehicles can be fun. Models like the Nissan Leaf are gaining ground when it comes to range, making them more practical, while the EV infrastructure continues to grow.
