Nissan announces e-4ORCE
By Product Expert | Posted in Features & Technology on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020 at 1:58 pmUpdated technology in Nissan EV vehicles
Electronic vehicles from Nissan are getting an upgrade to the system, the e-4ORCE. This all-wheel control technology enhances steering, braking and overall performance. Keep reading to learn more about Nissan’s e-4ORCE technology.
All-electric system
The e-4ORCE advanced system has been built around dual electric motors. In the past, Nissan EV’s have only used a single electric motor, used for front-wheel drive. With these two motors, Nissan EV’s will be all-wheel drive. This allows for higher acceleration and reacts more smoothly and efficiently.
Handling
The e-4ORCE system also allows for more chassis control, line tracing and steering precision. With both the electric motors, the e-4ORCE distributes torque to the front and rear wheels to maximize tire friction and grip on the road for better handling.
Comfort
As one of the top priorities, comfort was on the forefront of the engineers’ minds when designing the e-4ORCE system. With the use of regenerative braking, the motors work together to reduce vehicle pitch and dive to help keep everyone more level and help prevent motion sickness.
More on-road confidence
We all want to feel confident our vehicle will handle the potential challenges on the road. The e-4ORCE has a precision e-powertrain and braking system to ensure control is maintained no matter what type of challenge surface drivers are driving on. Even if a driver applies too much pressure, the system manages the output to maintain control and traceability.
