It may seem like just a few short years ago that we could all find new cars for the price of what is now considered a pretty good new car. Part of this is because features that were once considered premium options, like Bluetooth, are now expected even in the simplest vehicles. The compact segment has long been looked to for inexpensive commuter options, which is why so many people find appeal in the 2018 Nissan Sentra. Is the model still one of the most affordable in its segment? Looking at official U.S. pricing for this model year, Official U.S. pricing for the 2018 Nissan Sentra we’re happy to say it has the same starting MSRP as 2017 – $16,990. Despite this stability, the vehicle is better than ever with a number of new standard features. Here’s what you need to know.
What’s changed for the 2018 Nissan Sentra?
The 2018 Nissan Sentra is still available in six trim levels, with either the 6-speed manual transmission or Xtronic CVT. The standard engine is a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder which makes 124 horsepower with the CVT and 130 horsepower with the manual transmission. Prices range from the starting price of $16,990, up to $25,790 for the high-performance 1.6-liter Sentra Nismo. Here’s what’s new:
Standard features now include automatic emergency braking (which is not compatible with the manual transmission or Nismo trims), a rearview monitor, a 5-inch color infotainment display, Bluetooth with audio streaming and Siri Eyes-Free.
