Setting up Apple CarPlay in the 2020 Nissan Kicks
By far, one of the coolest features in the 2020 Nissan Kicks is the ability to sync up to your iPhone. This is perfect to listen to your own music, call everyone and send messages without having to look away from the road. If you aren’t too tech savvy, we have created a list of directions on how to connect your iPhone and set up Apple CarPlay. Keep reading to learn how!
Connect your phone
You do this through the USB port, which is located under the media screen. You will know if it connected correctly when a message has appeared on your media screen. Press “yes” on the screen once the question “would you like to use Apple CarPlay with this device” pops up. You have the options to change the settings so Apple CarPlay does not connect every time you plug in your iPhone.
After you’ve connected
Once you have pressed yes, all the available Apple icons will show up on your screen. If you press on the app, it will take you to its screen. To leave the app, you just need to press the square in the lower left corner to go back to the home screen. If you want to go to the vehicle home screen, press the “Menu” button on the upper left hand corner. There will be a option on the lower left part of the screen to return to the CarPlay menu.
