Nissan expands Rogue Trail Warrior Project
By Product Expert | Posted in Nissan Rogue on Monday, April 17th, 2017 at 4:02 pmWhat is the Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior Project?
It’s been more than a year since Nissan first revealed the Rogue Warrior, a snow-conquering version of the Nissan Rogue that featured a track system in place of tires. It was designed to prove to Canadian drivers that the Nissan Rogue can truly handle any weather, and it was both an entertaining and exciting display. But what about when your adventures extend a bit farther south than a frozen tundra? After all, many parts of Canada also have their lazy dog days of summer. Well, now Nissan is back again with the Rogue Trail Warrior Project, which the automaker flaunted at the 2017 New York International Auto Show. What is this project all about?
Nissan track system takes on the trails
What do the Nissan Rogue tracks remind you of? When seen on snow, you may have thought of a snowmobile, but it’s also a bit tank-like, right? Nissan clearly realized that not all adventures are going to take place across snowy landscapes, and the Trail Warrior takes this into account. It still features the snow track system, but this system can also handle off-road terrain instead.
Taking an entirely different approach, the Nissan Trail Warrior is a camouflaged Rogue that gets a military-like appearance with a khaki track system and yellow glassworks for the lighting.

The Dominator Tracks are made by American Track Truck, Inc. and are 48 inches long, 30 inches high and 14 inches wide. These tracks can handle the snow, as we’ve seen in the past, but are also suited for driving along trails.
If the Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior seems impractical, you should know it’s just a fun concept to flaunt the capability of the Nissan Rogue. A production version will not be made available because the tracks aren’t approved to use on-road. Which we all know is what most families need. Still, what’s wrong with showing off a concept just for fun?
