The 2017 Nissan Sentra NISMO Arrives In January

The 2017 Sentra NISMO made its debut this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show. From what we know about the 2017 Nissan Sentra NISMO, it will combine NISMO’s motorsport-inspired performance with the popular Nissan Sentra sedan, with its goal being to add everyday sedan practicality to the driving excitement of motorsports.
Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. said:
“For 2017, we’re bringing new excitement to Sentra with the Sentra NISMO, which brings driving enthusiasts aftermarket tuner-style performance straight from the factory. With an estimated starting price of under $25,000 when it arrives in January, Sentra NISMO is going to be very popular here in Southern California and around the U.S.”

2017 Sentra NISMO Engine and Performance Specs
The 2017 Sentra NISMO will be equipped with a 188-horsepower, 1.6-liter direct injection turbocharged engine producing 177 lb-ft of torque. Paired with that is the option of a 6-speed manual transmission, selected to take maximum advantage of the engine’s powerband and torque curve. You could also go with an advanced, tuned Xtronic transmission with manual mode.
Bunce said, “It’s important to offer a 6-speed manual transmission with the new Sentra NISMO, both to reinforce its pure performance credentials and to up the direct engagement factor between driver and the vehicle.”
The 2017 Nissan Sentra NISMO also offers aggressive exterior treatment, performance-oriented interior, stiffened body structure and unique suspension tuning.
What Other 2017 NISMO Models Are There?
Along with the new Sentra NISMO model, Nissan offers the NISMO treatment for some of their sports cars, crossovers and SUVs. The sports cars with the NISMO option are the 2017 370Z Coupe Nismo, the 2017 370Z Coupe NISMO Tech and the 2017 GT-R NISMO, although the GT-R NISMO has a limited availability. When it comes to the crossovers and SUVs, Nissan offers a NISMO model of the 2017 Juke and 2017 Juke RS. There are many different options available from Nissan to fit your needs.
