DuPage County Toys for Tots
The local impact is huge when it comes to donating toys to families in need. Last year, there were over 51,000 toys distributed and over 27,000 children were supported by the DuPage County Toys for Tots. This organization collects newly purchased toys as well as monetary donations. There are a number of drop off locations for those who are interested in helping.
Adopt a family from St Isidore Parish
During the Advent season, many of the low-income families need a little extra help. Some items are requested and gift cards are given to the family. To find a family to adopt, head over to their office. The Parish’s office is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm.
Give to the National Children’s Cancer Society
For those who are looking to get rid of some of their gently used items, the National Children’s Cancer Society is looking for household items to help out families. No matter how big the item, they are always happy to receive it. The organization can help schedule a pick up of any item someone wishes to donate.
