Nissan LEAF NISMO Shines in Japan

If you see the name NISMO, you know it means business. NISMO versions of Nissan vehicles are much more inspired by the race track, with NISMO vehicles bringing out the best in Nissan performance. In fact, the NISMO name actually derives from Nissan Motorsport, with great vehicles that are exhilarating to drive. Of course, as you can imagine, these NISMO editions are specific to certain Nissan vehicles, such as the GT-R, 370Z and Sentra models. However, recently Nissan showcased the debut of the 2019 Nissan LEAF NISMO. Let’s take a look.
While a somewhat odd pairing, adding NISMO-level performance to the best-selling electric car in the world, the new 2019 Nissan LEAF NISMO made its worldwide debut in Japan earlier this month. In fact, the new model will already be going on sale in Japan starting on July 31.

New Features in the 2019 Nissan LEAF NISMO
The Nissan LEAF NISMO features upgrades such as a sportier suspension, new custom 18-inch aluminum wheels and Continental ContiSportContact 5 tires. There are plenty of cosmetic changes being made to the new performance LEAF model. These include additions such as having red accents all around the vehicle, new exterior color options like Brilliant Silver/Super Black and Dark Metal Grey/Super Black, an instrument panel with a carbon-like finish and much more.
As of now, there is no information suggesting the 2019 Nissan LEAF NISMO will make its way to the United States, but that could also be dependent on how well the new model sells in Japan.
