Nissan introduces a suspension kit that won’t void your new car warranty

Every year at virtually every auto show, we marvel at impressive vehicle mods and dream of doing similar things to our own vehicles. After the new car warranty expires, of course. The problem is, most manufacturers list modifications as something that will void your warranty, which is an important contract to keep intact in case something goes wrong. For Nissan Titan and Titan XD owners, Nissan introduced something important at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show: factory-authorized suspension.

One of the reasons mods void a warranty is because they require you to, well, modify your vehicle in such a way that might weaken it. The new factory-approved ICON Vehicle Dynamics lift kid doesn’t require any drilling or cutting for either the Titan or Titan XD. Instead, they are completely bolt-on, so they don’t harm the integrity of the strong Nissan engineering.

Not only do the lift kits offer a more aggressive appearance, which is always of interest to pickup truck owners, but they give a total lift of up toe three inches for more ground clearance.
The new lift kits will be for sale starting in spring of 2018, this year, and are available on both the Titan and Titan XD crew cab models with the 4×4 system. Parts included in the kit are height-adjustable coil-over shock absorbers, custom rod end bearings and patent-pending Delta Joints.
It likely goes without saying, but there are benefits besides an aggressive stance when you get a lift kit. Basically, adding one means you have a smoother ride quality, particularly off-road, thanks to enhanced damping.

Nissan offers the America’s Best Truck Limited Warranty on both models, which offers bumper-to-bumper coverage for five years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Naturally, you’ll want to keep that warranty intact.
