One of the biggest auto shows of the year is back, as the North American Auto Show in Detroit has been taking place to help kick off the year. As expected, the auto show plays host to manufacturers from all over the world, as plenty of new models and technologies to the attendees. At this year’s show, Nissan showcased an exciting new model. So, what is the Nissan IMs EV Sports Sedan?
The Nissan IMs concept vehicle is a completely electric, all-wheel drive vehicle that offers full autonomous capabilities. The new concept sports sedan also features a unique new design approach, with its “Premier Seat” 2+1+2 seating arrangement. With this new model, Nissan is creating an entirely new vehicle segment with an elevated sports sedan.

Performance of the Nissan IMs
The new Nissan IMs concept was announced soon after the LEAF e+, as Nissan continues to expand their electric vehicle lineup. In fact, Nissan is planning to launch an additional seven electric vehicles by 2022.
The new Nissan IMs EV Sports Sedan includes a high-performance all-wheel drive system, along with an electric powertrain powered by two electric motors. These motors are located at the front and rear of the vehicle for weight distribution and help the concept vehicle generate an impressive 483 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. The 115-kWh battery also helps the sedan achieve an estimated driving range of 380 miles on a single charge.
