2016 Nissan Sentra vs 2016 Ford Focus

Certain compact cars in the smaller sedan segment have stepped up their game over the past few years. The 2016 Nissan Sentra and 2016 Ford Focus both come close to midsize sedan expectations at times. Either vehicle is going to be an efficient car to choose, whether you are looking for a first time vehicle, a commuter car, or family vehicle.

The 2016 Nissan Sentra does an excellent job in providing plenty of room for its rear seat passengers. It carves out approximately 37.4 inches of room while the Focus isn’t quite as roomy, making for 33.2 inches. Both sedans create a practical amount of storage space with the seats folded down or in place.

The interior layout of the 2016 Nissan Sentra is filled with quality and soft-touch materials. Nothing looks cheap or chinsy, but it may leave you surprised that the Sentra is such an affordable small sedan for how classy its interior layout is.

2016 Nissan Sentra: Compact with Full-size Offerings

One of the primary differences between the 2016 Nissan Sentra and Ford Focus is that the Focus is available in two body styles: either a four-door hatch, adding a little extra cargo room, or a sedan. (Nissan does not offer the Sentra as a hatch but the subcompact Versa Note is a hatch.) As far as trim levels go, the Nissan Sentra lists a few extra options compared to the Ford Focus. Both vehicles are competitively priced although the Sentra continues to pack in a little extra value for a smaller price

As far as the compact car segment goes, active-advanced safety systems aren’t a common commodity. Both the higher-end Nissan Sentra and Ford Focus can be equipped with safety packages that include intelligent cruise control, forward emergency braking, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Top Safety Pick Sentra also is available with entertainment technology. Through NissanConnect, drivers are able to sync their smartphone and car, unlocking a world of music, social, entertainment, and navigation apps.

Drivers interested in learning more about other key features in the Nissan Sentra, such as the Drive Assist Display, Siri Eyes Free, the Bose Premium Audio system and more are encouraged to stop by Glendale Nissan. We would be happy to answer any questions and invite you to take the latest Nissan Sentra for a test drive.
